2022 Ultimate openGear Applications Guide

Kristin worked with 6 openGear Leader Partners to produce the 2022 Ultimate openGear Applications Guide. The guide includes a table of contents page that links to each partner’s section displaying their workflow diagrams. The guide is used as a lead magnet that sales prospects access by sharing their contact information with openGear. Kristin was the main project manager, designer, and editor on the project.

Signage for Hospital Systems

I’m one of those people who produces a lot of work that average folks usually aren’t aware of. If you’ve visited almost any hospital (and many medical buildings) in the Sacramento area, you’ve seen my work.

My sign designs help people navigate parking lots, find the ER, manage patient care, stay safe in the pandemic, and feel more relaxed in patient and family spaces. I’ve designed thousands of signs since 2017 that have made a difference in my community.

SonShine Wines

A hobby winemaker, the owner of SonShine Wines asked me to design a wine label that incorporated a brilliant sunrise over the foothills of Northern California, grapes and vines, and a rugged cross. Since 2016 I’ve produced several different versions of the label for Moscato, Syrah, Zinfandel, and other varietals.

Adam Bomb

Rocklin Automotive‘s gokart racing team wanted a t-shirt design for the team members, so I created this fun image featuring the star driver, Adam. I kept the design to two colors to reduce printing costs.

Tabletop display
The Resource Center for Students with Children needed a tabletop display that continued the playful look and feel of the other marketing materials, but it required open spaces for the most up-to-date content to be attached.

Trifold brochure
The Resource Center for Students with Children asked me to create a fun and engaging full color, full bleed brochure to replace a black-and-white version. I worked with them to incorporate the university’s branding and color scheme but with a twist that would make this brochure less “corporate” looking. This piece defined the look of the center’s follow-up marketing materials, including a large banner and a tabletop display.

Trifold brochure with map
Portland State University offers lactation rooms for breastfeeding moms throughout its campus, so I created this full-color brochure with an easy-to-read map displaying the lactation room locations. The map was originally created by another designer at the university, but I incorporated usability features and simplified the design to make it easier to follow. A real student and her newborn are featured on the front.

SJ Construction

SJ Construction asked me to design them a new logo that would be versatile for business cards, signage, and embroidered shirts. The logo needed to incorporate an eagle similar to one they’d used previously. I also designed their business cards and worked closely with the printer to make sure the blue in the logo matched the blue on the American flag.

Chris Rice Voiceover

Voiceover artist Chris Rice asked me to redesign his site using electric blue as the theme color. Using WordPress, HTML, CSS, and PHP, I made the site responsive – meaning it’s optimized to look good on virtually any mobile device. I customized almost everything, from the typewriter-like font to the audio player to the testimonials slider at the bottom. I also designed business cards that match the blue badge logo at the top of the page.
