Ready or not, the holiday season is here. For some businesses, it’s a hectic time for filling orders and managing customers. For others, it can mean deafening silence while customers are occupied with other projects.
If you want to hear more than crickets chirping in your office for the next few weeks, here are tips for growing your business during the holidays.
Holiday cards for customers.
Use video to engage your customers.
There are several fun ways you can use video this holiday season. Create a “holiday wishes” video, or shoot a fun lip sync video with your employees. Or create something really unique like Hootsuite did with their owl and holiday fireplace video.
Start a social media conversation that’s not about your business.
Offer holiday discounts on service packages.
Does your business provide haircuts, housecleaning, or oil changes? Give your customers a discount when they purchase three or more services ahead of time. Your customers save money, you get paid in advance, and you’re building customer loyalty. Consider offering discounts on gift cards during the holidays as well.
If you have a storefront, host a canned food drive for a local charity.
